Meadowbrook Press publishes approximately 20 new titles each year. Our traditional subject categories include baby naming, children's poetry, parenting, and child development. Most titles print softbound with four-color covers and black-and-white interiors. We publish a limited number of hardcover and four-color interior titles. Illustrators should submit nonreturnable copies (color copies are fine) of work that best represents their style and strengths. Do not submit full portfolios or original art; they will not be returned. We receive a large number of inquiries and samples each year, making it impractical to respond to each submission. We will contact artists if we have an illustration need that matches their style. Submitted samples that we feel may meet a future need will be maintained in a file collection for one year.
