As editor of several successful poetry anthologies, he learned what makes children laugh. He used this feedback to create books of his own original poetry, too. Lansky spends a good deal of his time visiting schools around the country performing at assemblies. As one of America’s best-selling children’s poets, he also visits teachers’ conferences and leads workshops on how to get kids excited about reading and writing poetry.
In addition to his acclaimed children's poetry collections, Bruce is a nationally known expert on baby names. His best-selling baby name book, The Very Best Baby Names, is perhaps the most recognized book on the subject nationwide.
